Preliminary assessments for high-quality moulds
The feasibility study is the first phase that begins the process proposed by FPM for the creation of the die-casting mould for non-ferrous metals. It is an important step for the preliminary assessment of the possible technical solutions that take into account the characteristics of the material and its use. The aim is to ensure optimisation of the moulding phase. This is why sharing information and close collaboration with the customer are fundamental at this stage.
The feasibility study of the die-casting moulds allows us to guarantee conformation of the mould in order to ensure optimal extraction of the pieces. To make this happen, a particular inclination of the walls is required, which are therefore not completely vertical. Moreover, the feasibility study of die-casting moulds avoids the formation of bubbles or pockets of gas in the cast obtained.
